The Congress Palace of Navarra BALUARTE in Pamplona will host the 5th International Forum on Wood Construction, a key event in relation to the development of wood construction in Spain. The congress focuses on technical and practical issues, aimed at the professional world. In parallel to a program of conferences, by national and international speakers, an exhibition will also be held to present and learn about the latest advances in products and techniques.

Technical workshop - Resonate project "Advances in the technological project for the sustainable valorization of hardwood forests in Galicia" will take place in sala de eventos of the Edificio Fontán at Cidade da Cultura (Santiago de Compostela) on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In the framework of the regional ‘Project for Valorizing Harwoods in Galicia’ and the European project ‘RESONATE ‘Resilient forest value chains – enhancing resilience through natural and socio-economic responses’, we will organize the Symposium ‘Native hardwoods, the resilience of the forest sector’. The aim of the event is, on one hand exchanging knowledge about innovations on hardwoods across Europe and on the other hand, discussing about decission support tools and resilience assessments for improving the resilience of the forest value chain in Galicia

This conference will present information on the role of bioenergy in decarbonisation, the forest industry's perspective on the demand for wood biomass and pellets, as well as on the influence of European legislation on the bioenergy sector.

Training in seismic design and calculation of timber structures, through classroom and online classes, using specialized software and case studies. Current experimental research will also be addressed.

In connection with the celebration of the Annual General Meeting of the European Panel Federation (EPF), this conference on the NBE is organised in the City of Culture of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela.

Bordeaux will host the 4th edition of the "WOODRISE" congress, where, through plenary sessions and workshops, some fifty international speakers will present the different global challenges of medium and high rise timber construction.
