The 3rd edition of the Professional Congress on Wood Treatment and Conservation - Expocida Madera was held in Bilbao on 9th and 10th March.
This International Congress aims to provide current knowledge on new and effective treatments for better prevention, maintenance, pest management and conservation of wood. It is aimed at professionals in the pest control, construction, rehabilitation, architecture and restoration sectors.
The Congress was attended by more than 200 participants from several countries, among them Manuel Touza from the CIS Madeira who presented part of the experimental work developed in Eguralt project, in the framework of the round table on "Pathologies in wood". The title of his presentation was: "Preventive protection of cross-laminated timber (CLT) panel buildings against subterranean termites".
